Calgary Pin Show
Sold Out...Again
CALGARY -- The Calgary International Pin Club's "Festival Of Pins" sold out for the 17th consecutive time. Held at the Acadia Recreation Centre over the Labour Day weekend, the 17th annual show was another smashing success.
All 46 tables were sold and organizers estimate about 500,000 pins were on display to be bought, sold or traded. The show features two days of activity, including 50/50 draws, silent auctions, door prizes and an exhibit area.
The festival drew participants from New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario and the four western provinces, in addition to exhibitors from Los Angeles and Salt Lake City. All types of lapel pins can be found on display, including the perennial favorites of Olympics, Hard Rock, cartoons, police, railway, rodeo, stampede and all sports.
The CIPC will hold its 18th annual festival over the Labour Day weekend in 2008 and more information will become available as the show nears.
