WPCC CELEBRATES ITS 20TH ANNIVERSARY
WITH A PARTY!
Our 20th Anniversary party was held on May 8th, 2007 at the Norwood Legion in St. Boniface, Manitoba. There was a huge turnout of club members and their guests. It was estimated that there were over 50 people in attendance.
Awards were presented to co-founding club members Ron K., Denis G and Ron B. for their service to the club. A special award was presented to Angie H. for her outstanding service and dedication to the club.
Some of the highlights of the party included a silent auction of ten high quality items, a pin draw, a 50/50 draw, the draw of a complete set of club pins in a frame as well as the serving of anniversary cake, dainties and refreshments. The usual pin trading took place. Three people joined our pin club that night. A fun time was had by all.
Thanks to the wonderful organizational efforts of our Assistant Secretary Treasurer, Angie H., the party was a huge success. Our thanks go out to Ivan L. for getting the club pin set framed and for designing the four trophies that were presented to four club members. I would also like to thank Joan K., Ron K., Wes P., Bob M. & Bill S. for all the help they provided. Last but not least, I would like to thank all the other club members and guests who helped out as well.
Judging from the success of this party and other past club events, I predict a bright future for the pin club in the years to come.
